It was his eyes. Those dark eyes that held you in your sleep, following you through nightmare and dream alike, those dark eyes that belonged to a dead man.
“We killed you. You’re dead.” The words were barely a whisper in the dim light of the room. They trembled like your limbs.
“It didn’t take.”

It had been quite awhile since that fateful night, the night you’d chosen exactly whose side you were on. No going back from what you’d done. Nights like this it kept you awake, the images running through your mind like some movie you’d seen one too many times. You always revisited it somehow. You shouldn’t feel guilty for it, not with everything that’s come after, not with the lows you’d sunk to since, but somehow…
It was his eyes. They were dark enough to fall into and drown and if things had been different you could see yourself doing exactly that over and over again. Instead he was six feet under and you were absolutely the one who put him there whether you pulled the trigger yourself or not. You’d thrown your lot in with your current employer and hardly looked back. Everyone after him had been a breeze, some of them you even sent under entirely on your own. Their eyes didn’t haunt you, their voice a ghost in your ears. They didn’t make you wish you’d been different, not like he did.
Tonight it should have been something else keeping you awake. Bodies had been piling up, bodies of people you knew and worked with. Eviscerated brutally, but according to the whispers that was never the cause of death. No matter the cuts and lacerations, every last one had the telltale angry purple markings across their neck of strangulation. To hear your partner say it, it looked like a hell of a painful way to go. It should be thoughts of them coming for you next. Instead it was that long ago night that you just couldn’t seem to get away from.
A sound somewhere in the quiet of your apartment caught your attention. It was mundane enough, a sort of rustling sound that easily could have been the curtains or your cat, but some deep instinct inside of you awoke that said it was anything but the usual. Your hair stood on edge and all you could think of was danger. You sat up in bed staying stock still as you strained your ears to hear anything else. A heavy silence was all that hung, somehow a physical weight on your chest and shoulders, threatening to choke you with its presence. Something was wrong. Something was here. You couldn’t quite put your finger on it, but the sensation made you feel distinctly prey-like.
Slowly you put your feet to the floor and started your way out of your bedroom, groping blindly for the first thing you could grab for a weapon as you kept your eyes up, scanning the room. You froze in your motions when your eyes finally landed on a figure in the corner of the room next to the now open window. It was tall, masculine as best you could tell in the darkness, wearing all black. Despite everything about your occupation as the right hand to a villain, dangerous in your own right, you found yourself shaking. You opened your mouth to ask him who he was when he moved, sliding the window closed and reaching next to him to flick on the light.
It was his eyes. Those dark eyes that held you in your sleep, following you through nightmare and dream alike, those dark eyes that belonged to a dead man.
“We killed you. You’re dead.” The words were barely a whisper in the dim light of the room. They trembled like your limbs.
“It didn’t take.” The voice was gruff, low. You remembered it well.
“Why are you here? How did you even find me?” You paused, a cold realization hitting you. The bodies. Quieter this time, “Are you going to kill me?”
He didn’t answer, moving from his place near the window to your couch where he lounged far too casually. He didn’t regard you fully, instead glancing at you from the corner of his eye. Clearly he wasn’t concerned about you attempting to fight him. “Where’s your boss?”
“Are you going to kill me?” You asked again, moving slightly closer to him on shaking legs.
“Are you going to answer?”
You swallowed. Did you want to live? Absolutely. Betraying your boss would kill you just as quickly as he would, though maybe less painfully. Maybe. He just as easily could torture you for hours for your insurrection, make you die begging and pleading for forgiveness because there’d be no point in begging for your life. But maybe…
“I find it hard to believe that none of us answered.” Your voice had more of its steel back now.
He sighed and ran a hand through a mess of black hair. For some reason the only thing you could think of was how soft it looked. How it might feel between your own fingers. You shook the thought away before it could take root any further. “Think so little of your colleagues?” The question had no actual interest in it.
“I just don’t think many of us are so blindly loyal that we’d rather die than turn in our employer. We can find other work.”
“Are you?”
“I’m deciding.” You moved to your arm chair across from the couch, closer than he seemed to expect by the raised eyebrow and quiet interest in your form.
“What is he to you?”
“Money.”
“You’d kill a stranger for money.”
“I didn’t kill you.”
“Funny how you thought I meant me.” He sat up then, leaning in. You noted how he seemed almost weary. Was it some sort of trick to make you feel more at ease before the kill? Or was it an unintentional slip of a mask? Maybe he just didn’t care what you saw. You didn’t care to question it much further.
“So what are you then?” You leaned back in the chair. “We buried you.”
“Like I said, it didn’t take.” He chuckled, the noise sending a heat through your limbs you didn’t expect. He spread his arms in a mock showmanship and in an exaggerated and exhausted tone, “I’ve returned for my vengeance.”
You snorted. “Been working your way up the chain? Half of these people weren’t even working with us when…” you swallowed.
“When your boss put a bullet between my eyes? I know. It’s the message that counts, I think,” He frowned. Definitely a slip.
“Do you...know what you’re doing?” You ventured.
“Most of the time.”
“He’s either at the base or his apartment.”
“Good girl.” He rumbled. That sent a shiver down your spine, the heat in your core growing worse. God, he had to know, didn’t he? He stood, patting your head twice before starting for the window again.
“Wait.” You didn’t turn but heard his footsteps stop. “What are you going to do?”
“I thought a smart thing like you would know.”
“I was there. Why only kill him?” Maybe it wasn’t the best question to ask a man who’d already murdered several of your colleagues, but thinking before you spoke was never your strong suit. You felt more than heard him turn to regard you, and then he was at your back, a hand on the chair as he leaned into your ear.
“It’s all purpose, drive. I want to sink a knife into him and let him see just how it feels. You…” he paused and you could swear you heard him growl, “I think I’ll sink something else into you.” And then he was gone.
The next two hours passed at a snail’s pace. You couldn’t get back to the comfort of your bed and so opted for returning to the armchair you’d previously been in, curling up as you turned on the television for background noise. You thumbed your phone and swallowed down a nervous lump. What did you just do? What if word got out, what if they all knew you’d done it? You could skip town. You’d done it before, you could do it again. Disappear, become a ghost--
No. No, no one would know. You had to believe that. No one would know, and this...man? Monster? Your own ghost? You knew his name, saw it in the news, why was it so damn hard to just think of him with his name. He--Aizawa--wouldn’t come back and you’d be left alone to follow the new boss or pack up and find your own. Hell, maybe it was all a dream. Dead men don’t walk.
But you wanted him to come back, didn’t you? Wanted to hear that growl in your ear again, the strangely alluring danger of his presence. Wanted to know what the strength he possessed that led so many of your colleagues to the grave could do when pinning you to your bed. They weren’t useful thoughts but god were they not going away any time soon.
Your eyes snapped to the window as a soft click reached your ears and broke through your thoughts. Sure enough there was the form you’d been half hoping and half dreading to see once more, crawling through with a predator’s ease. It set goosebumps dancing across your skin, a soft warmth radiating from your abdomen through the rest of your body. Your eyes met his and for a brief moment you imagined him a secret lover sneaking through your window at night against both of your better judgement. The metallic scent of blood threw you out of that fantasy fast enough, grounded you to the reality of the situation. He maybe hadn’t been before--no, he certainly hadn’t been before--but he was a killer now. A killer who had dispatched most of the crew you ran with. Could you have been so stupid as to believe he wasn’t viewing you as a loose end? So daft as to think the words he’d left you with earlier weren’t malice?
“You’re still here.” His deep voice broke the silence between you. You swallowed.
“Was I not supposed to be?”
“The smart thing would have been to run.” He crossed to you, slow and deliberate, “After all, what can I do to you? You must have thought it over, you’re an intelligent girl.” If anyone else had dared to call you a girl of all things you’d have put a bullet between their eyes. As it stood, hearing it rumble from his chest had you clenching around nothing.
“Maybe I wanted to see what you meant by ‘something else.’” You mused, swallowing down any fear. He chuckled at that, leaning in as he placed a hand on the back of the chair above you. He dwarfed you in this position. The smell of blood was stronger now with him so close, but you couldn’t make out any of it on him. It was almost as though he was the scent. Like the deed he’d just done marked him somehow. It thrilled you more than it should have.
He brought his face close to yours so his breath ghosted across your lips as he spoke, “You know, for a woman who stood by while her boss murdered me...you’re awful compelling.”
“Compelling?” The question was far quieter and breathier than you meant for it to be. Your heart pounded against your ribcage, so loud you could swear he could hear it. His soft chuff of amusement didn’t help with that notion.
He ran the back of his free hand slowly down your cheek, along your jaw, down your neck. His eyes never left yours, watching for every minute reaction. You were giving him a damn feast, your pupils dilated, your lips trembling, short, soft breaths leaving your slightly parted mouth. He wanted to eat you up, take everything you’d give him and then some, but he’d be damned if he wasn’t going to savor this last meal.
Aizawa had felt himself slipping the minute your boss’s body had crumpled to the floor in front of him. He didn’t question why the force that had pulled him from the grave decided you weren’t on his revenge list. He was more than happy to leave you alive, more than happy to use his last night on this earth absolutely ravaging your body. He’d left that place without his customary clean up, quite aware that even if there was evidence left behind it wouldn’t matter to him come morning. Besides, he had a different kind of prey to get back to.
Now here you were, trembling beneath him, so beautifully conflicted between if you should run or if you should give in. As his hand ghosted across the skin of your neck he turned it suddenly, pressing down ever so slightly. Your breath hitched as you involuntarily arched it into his grasp, a silent plea for more. A beat. Your eyes locked together. A beat.
All at once the tension snapped as his lips came crashing down on yours with a growl that was absolutely feral. You moaned into the kiss, hands coming up to tangle in that soft hair as you roughly tugged. He groaned in kind, pressing down harder against your neck, just enough to cut off your airway. The deprivation was absolutely delicious. His heated kisses started to trail along your jaw, mixed with rough nips and licks. You angled your body in an attempt to press it up against his and he chuckled.
“What a needy little mouse…” He let go of your neck and listened to you take that instinctive gasp of breath to fill your lungs once again. He replaced his fingers with his mouth, biting down hard. You whined, tugging hard at his hair again which earned you a growl in turn. Fuck you needed him in you.
“P-please…”
“Please what, little mouse?”
“Need more, please!” You whimpered out, squirming in that chair. He watched you with such a fierce hunger in his eyes you were certain you’d die on the spot.
“More what, little mouse? Be specific for me.”
God damnit. You squirmed more, movements desperate. “Need you against me, please...want you in me…” Some part of you registered that you were supposed to have more dignity than this. Maybe it was the danger or the regret or some fucked up mix of the two but he was making you absolutely dizzy with want in a way no one else had before.
“There we go. Was that so hard?” He practically purred into your ear just before yanking you up against his frame. You remembered how strong he’d been before, how difficult putting him down had been for you and your boss, but god it was like it had been enhanced tenfold. You pushed against him, hands feeling along the corded muscles beneath his clothes as he kissed you, walking you backwards toward your bedroom.
You managed somehow to not stumble, falling back the second you felt your legs hit your bed. You scrambled back up to the pillows, keeping your eyes on him the entire time as he followed you on hands and knees. He reminded you of a panther stalking its prey, gorgeous and so very lethal. You shivered, biting your lip at the thought. He brought his lips to yours again, tongue finding its way into your eager open mouth to taste you.
You started at his shirt, tugging it up as far as you could without his help. He broke the kiss long enough to tug it over his head and throw it to the side before diving back in, holding you close against him as your hands traveled along his bare skin. It didn’t take long for him to treat you in kind, hands fisting in the material of your flimsy tank top and wrenching it violently. The sound of ripping fabric sent a jolt of pleasure through you. You could get a new top later, right now all you cared about was getting the rest of these damn clothes out of the way.
You pushed your shorts and panties down your legs, impatiently kicking them off the second you could. He watched you, not bothering with his own further than moving them down enough to pull his hard cock out. You licked your lips as your eyes flicked between his face and that damn beautiful cock. You spread your legs for him and he smirked.
“Beg.”
You groaned, pressing your head back against the pillows. “I already did!”
“I could just go. Leave you soaked and wanting, poor little mouse. You and I both know your toys just won’t make you cum like I can.” The wicked, lopsided grin on his face made you want to punch him. You whined loudly.
“Please fuck me, Shota...” You squirmed your hips a little, giving him your best doe eyes, praying it would make him merciful, “Please...want you to make me cummm…”
He leaned in then, caging you in beneath him as he nipped your earlobe, “Aw, you do know my name, little mouse.” He pushed in then, using your slick to hilt himself entirely inside your warm cunt. You let out a ragged gasp, hands flying up to grip his back, digging your nails in. He groaned, resting his head against your shoulder for a brief moment, “Fuck you’re tight.”
He started moving in earnest then, hips snapping against yours as he drove his cock into your already sensitive hole over and over again. Little cries and curses left your mouth as he fucked you. God this was perfect, he was perfect. It felt like you were made just for him to break. If things had been different, maybe you could have had this every single night. The part of your mind that still clung to solid ground felt the pang of guilt. You pulled him down into a rough kiss, letting him swallow up your noises.
He gripped both your hands, holding them down against the mattress as he pushed up to get a better look at you, gaze ravenous as he took in your bouncing tits, the sweat sheening against your skin. They traveled to where his cock drove into your tight cunt, watching as he abused your soaking wet hole. Through gritted teeth, “Fuck baby you were made to take my cock.”
You whined again, tightening around his thick length at his words. The heat in your core grew worse, a coil threatening to snap if wound too tight, and damn was he doing his best to do just that. You panted out between moans, listening to the groans and growls he let out above you, no thought at all for how loud either of you were being. Fuck the neighbors, they could listen in and wish they were getting fucked this good.
“F-Fuck Sh..Sho gonna...gonna cummm~!” You managed, words clumsy on your tongue. He groaned, low and deep, fucking you harder into the mattress. You nearly screamed then, the pleasure too much to handle for your sensitive body.
“That’s it, little mouse, cum on my dick..” He groaned out, a primal growl in his voice. You moaned loud, reaching up to grapple at his back as he let you out of his grasp to once again cage you beneath him, picking up the pace as his own thrusts became erratic. You dug angry red lines down his back as you came undone around him, that coil snapping inside you as you screamed out your pleasure. The deep groan in your ear as he pumped your abused cunt full of his cum had you tightening around him, milking his cock for all he was worth.
You weren’t sure how long you two stayed like that. All notion of the passage of time was alien to you, the only thing keeping you grounded his hot skin against your own. The heat was almost suffocating. With it all still that scent of blood that you were certain now was just him. Slowly he pulled his cock from your dripping cunt, chuckling when you gasped in response.
“Doing okay there, little mouse?”
You snorted once you had your bearings, “Quiet.”
“Never.” He placed a kiss to your cheek, far more affectionate than you expected for the situation, before rolling off of you onto his back. He draped an arm across his sweat slicked forehead and looked to you with tired eyes.
“Planning on staying then?” You questioned. You didn’t understand the anxiety that twisted in your gut in the split second it took for him to respond.
“I’ve had a long night.”
“You have.”
“Let’s play pretend then. You let me hold you tonight.”
“And pretend you won’t kill me in the middle of the night?”
“And pretend I’m not the man you murdered.” He responded. There was an ice to the words that had your gut twisting again. You didn’t reply, just slotted your body against his, placing a hand on his chest that felt so cold to you now. You rested your head against his shoulder as he wound his free arm around you, pulling you in close. You waited a few beats, the only sound in the room your ragged breathing. Why it struck you as odd took a few moments. Normally at this angle you’d have heard your partner for the night’s heartbeat hammering against his chest, but Aizawa’s own body was so silent.
“Your heart--”
“Don’t.”
“Right.” You swallowed. He may be walking around and, at least, semi-functioning, but he was still dead. You still did that. “In the morning…”
“Don’t worry. I won’t be here.”
“Right.” You fell silent then, a deep guilt and anxiety taking over the post-orgasm glow. You didn’t want him gone in the morning. You wanted to fix what you’d done, you wanted to have him here, to give him a proper apology.
He let out a soft sigh. He expended more energy than he expected and already he could feel himself slipping away. You didn’t need to see it, should be asleep when he finally faded away. It was a few minutes before he spoke again. “Good night, little mouse.” Your soft breathing was his only response in the dark. Good, at least he tired you out properly. He pushed himself up slightly, looking down at your face. There was a troubled look on that sleeping face, one that some odd part of him wanted to soothe away.
These feelings were confusing, too much for him to unpack in the short time he had left. At least they weren’t something he had to unpack, really. Just something he had to “live” moment to moment with. He placed a soft kiss on your temple, carefully untangled himself from you, and started for the door to your room when he paused. He reached down, scooped his shirt up from the floor, and left, draping it across the chair in your living room.
In the morning you wandered bleary eyed from your cold bed to the soft light of the living room. The window was partially opened. You frowned, crossing to it to close it when your bare foot stepped into a soft pile of...something. You looked down, squinting. Ash. Next to the window was a small pile of ash. Your eyes scanned the room then, landing on the black shirt laying across the back of your chair and you knew.
Gone. He was gone. Mission complete, nothing tethering him to the world anymore. You pulled that shirt to your chest, cradling it against your heart. Your heart felt cold, that guilt writhing in you as you swallowed hard. You didn’t deserve what this meant, but you’d take it anyway. Forgiveness.

Love is Blind
Day 4 of @tsshipmonth2020 Fluffuary
Ship: Moxiety
AU: Human
Word Count: 1927
Summary: Virgil is set up on a blind date by his friends Roman and Logan, much to his dismay.
(Like listening to podfics? You can listen to this oneshot on my YT channel here!)
“I can’t believe you talked me into this.”
“Don’t talk, you’re gonna mess up your lipstick.” Roman scolded, holding Virgil’s chin tightly to keep him from shifting anymore. “There, done! My greatest masterpiece! I can’t believe it took an entire tube of concealer to cover up your eyebags. You need to sleep more!”
Virgil rolled his eyes, taking the hand mirror that Roman offered him. “Yeah, well, tell my insomnia that.” He huffed, hearing the bedroom door open behind him as he took in Roman’s handiwork.
“Do you like it? You look great, Virge! He’s gonna be head over heels the moment he sets his eyes on you! It’ll be love at first sight!” Roman squealed, clapping his hands in excitement.
Virgil grimaced. “Let’s not go that far.”
Roman pouted, turning to his boyfriend who was standing in the doorway with an amused grin. “C’mon Lo, help me out! Doesn’t he look great?”
Logan pushed his glasses up. “He looks… done up, I will say that. You certainly had fun, didn’t you?”
“Yeah, he did.”
Roman stuck his tongue out at them both. “I’m an artist! When I see a beautiful canvas, I have to use it!”
Virgil ignored the bickering that his friends devolved into, studying himself intently in the mirror. Beautiful canvas? Yeah right. Sure, he wasn’t ugly, but he wasn’t exactly a model either. He had acne scars on his nose and chin from all the picking he did at his acne, he had prominent eye bags from stress and lack of sleep that Roman had only barely managed to cover, and even all of Roman’s hair products couldn’t completely tame his thick, wild hair.
The more he stared at himself, the more anxious he got about the night ahead. How had he ever let Roman talk him into going on a blind date with some guy in Logan’s class? Virgil could barely make small talk with a chatty clerk at a retail store, how was he supposed to go on a date? And he hadn’t even given Virgil the solace of going to a movie with him, which would have at least alleviated the pressure of talking to his date.
“I can’t do this...” Virgil muttered to himself, feeling a lump start to form in his throat and tears in his eyes. Roman’s head immediately snapped to him, and he grabbed the tissue box from his vanity and shoved it into Virgil’s hand.
“Nope, nope! No crying, you’re gonna ruin your beautiful face!” Roman insisted, standing so close to the chair Virgil was hunched in that his knees brushed Virgil’s. Roman tilted his friend’s chin up, meeting his eyes. “Virgil, listen. You know that I love and care about you in the most platonic way possible and I would never even suggest anything if I didn’t think it would be the best thing in the world for you, right?”
Virgil sniffed and nodded slowly, not trusting himself to speak. He felt another hand on his shoulder from behind and leaned back into Logan’s touch.
“And you know that I ran this idea by Logan like, ten times before I brought it up to you, and he agreed that this guy is totally your type and you’re gonna have the time of your life?”
“Y-Yeah...”
“And that I get to be the best man at your wedding when you two fall in love and get married in Hawaii?”
Logan cleared his throat and glared at Roman, but Virgil snickered, dabbing at a stray tear on the inside of his eye. “Yeah, sure, Maybe I’ll even let you pick out my dress.”
Roman laughed, and he gave Virgil a peck on the forehead before checking his phone. “We should probably get going. Remember Virge, Logan and I are gonna be walking around the fair too. If you need a break, or need to go home, or whatever, you just text one of us, ok?”
“We’ll check in occasionally too. Patton is a wonderful person, but your comfort comes first.” Logan added.
Virgil cleared his throat, nearly crying again from his friends’ kind words. “You’re sure I can’t just stay home instead?” He asked them with a grin, only half joking.
All he got as a response was a laugh and a hand pulling him from the chair.
~
The fair was a local event in a town about half an hour from Roman’s apartment, and the drive over did nothing to sooth Virgil’s nerves. By the time they were pulling into the parking lot, he was panicking again.
Roman noticed it as soon as he stepped out of the car, and he immediately wrapped his friend up in a hug. “Oh Virge...”
“I’m sorry... I don’t know if I can do this...”
Roman rubbed Virgil’s back to calm him. “What if Logan and me walk with you guys while you talk? If you don’t like him, I’ll pretend I’m having a heart attack and we’ll get outta there. Sound good?”
“Do you even know what it’s like to have a heart attack?” Virgil joked back, stepping out of the embrace. Roman put a hand over his chest, gasping.
“How dare you doubt my acting skills!”
Logan cleared his throat, holding up his phone. “Patton’s waiting by the entrance, are we ready to go in?”
Roman met Virgil’s eyes, and the latter nodded. Virgil got one last hug, and Roman grabbed his hand and squeezed it as they walked up to the banner that hung over the entrance to the park where the fair was set up.
Standing off to the side, there was a young man about the same age as Virgil. He was wearing a bright blue skirt with suspenders over a poofy white shirt. He had knee high socks that were designed to look like cats at the top, and wide rimmed glasses framing his eyes. When he glanced up from his phone, Virgil could see there were freckles scattered across his cheeks.
The man’s eyes lit up as he saw the three approaching, and he ran up to Logan and practically threw himself at the other in a huge hug. “Logan! It’s so good to see you!”
Logan cracked a rare smile as he hugged him back with one arm. “Evening, Patton. How are you doing?”
“Great! It’s such a nice night, don’t you think? And this park is beautiful! This little festival is the cutest thing!” Patton detached himself from Logan and looked over to Roman and Virgil, the latter of which had his eyes fixed tightly on Patton’s every move. He was sure his cheeks were turning red, and hoped the fading light of the sunset would hide it.
Patton held his hand out to Virgil, smiling brightly. “Hi! You must be Virgil, right? I’ve heard so much about you!”
Virgil coughed, shaking his hand quickly while trying to force a smile. “O-Oh, really?”
“Yep! Don’t worry, all good things! I’m Patton, but you probably already knew that.”
Roman nudged him when Virgil failed to respond. “O-Oh! Uh, yeah, I... they, told me about you, yeah... about, uh... date... I mean...!”
Patton’s smile just grew bigger as Virgil stammered, which only made his blush worse. Goddamnit, he was an idiot! But this guy was so cute, his brain refused to work.
“Well then, are you guys hungry? I’m friends with one of the vendors, they have the most amazing fried rice!” Patton suggested, waving towards the entrance. The other three nodded, and they followed the excited young man inside, with Roman taking his boyfriend’s hand and pressing against his side.
“Did you see that? I think that’s the reddest I’ve ever seen Virgil’s face.” Roman stage whispered once Virgil was out of range, watching his friend stammer and stutter as Patton got closer to him.
“I don’t believe we’re going to be seeing them much tonight.”
Roman nodded, turning to give Logan a quick peck on the cheek. “Good. You’ve been so busy, I finally get you to myself.”
~
After they all ate, Patton suggested going over to the games that were set up, and Virgil agreed just a little too quickly. Roman snickered as Patton led him away, and Virgil’s face burned. But he couldn’t be tongue tied for long. His date began to ask him questions, simple ones that weren’t invasive but still fun to talk about. His favorite animal and color, what movies he’d seen recently, etc.
It was easy to talk to him, Virgil realized. He didn’t seem to mind when Virgil took a while to respond, or trailed off in the middle of his sentence, or when he didn’t have an interesting answer to his questions. Eventually he managed to turn the conversation over to Patton talking about himself instead, and that became a lot easier over the night.
It was hours later when Virgil started to yawn, and Patton looked like he was getting sleepy as well. Patton asked if he was ready to go home, and Virgil nodded, ready to pull out his phone and text Roman to see where they were.
“I can drive you, if you want.” Patton offered, and Virgil shook his head.
“No, no it’s ok. It’s like half an hour away, and you live right around here don’t you?”
Patton shrugged. “Yeah, but that’s ok. I’d like to keep spending time with you, if you’re not sick of me yet!” He laughed, and Virgil’s heart skipped a beat.
“If... If you’re sure it’s not too much... I’d, uh... I’d like that a lot too.”
That smile again. It made his heart soar, that adorable smile. Patton offered his hand to Virgil while smiling that beautiful smile. “Then let’s go.”
He hesitated for only a moment before taking his hand, and Patton intertwined their fingers together. Virgil tugged his phone out of his pocket with his other hand, and shot off a quick message to Roman that he was getting a ride from Patton. After receiving a short but surprised response, he put his phone back in his pocket and let himself be led back out to the parking lot and to Patton’s car.
The ride home was much like the ride there, in that Virgil’s heart was racing the entire time. But this time, it was a good feeling, and he thought he might be able to get used to the warm feeling Patton seemed to radiate.
Virgil almost didn’t want to leave the car when Patton pulled into his driveway. He’d been holding Patton’s hand the entire time, and it was the perfect size and shape to fit in his own.
“If you... Um, I mean, you’ve probably got stuff to do tomorrow, but if you wanted to come in for a bit... you’re, um... welcome to?” It came out as a question, which he hated, but Patton didn’t seem to mind.
“Really? That would be amazing!” Patton told him, and before he knew it they were laying on Virgil’s couch, cups of water and a bowl of popcorn on the floor. As they got sleepier, Patton started to migrate closer to Virgil, and ended up laying practically on his chest. Virgil didn’t mind, and when Patton glanced up at him with his bright eyes and sleepy smile, it was like there was some hidden force that caused him to lean down and meet Patton’s lips in a gentle kiss.
It was the first of many of the night. Sweet, innocent kisses between two people who had found something lovely in the other, and just couldn’t get enough.

For Pride Month I made some Bi!10K fic with an OC named Jamie. First meetings and first kiss. Super cute and fluffy. First time same sex attraction for 10K as well so he’s a little flustered by these new feelings.
Happy Pride everyone!

Cold metal pressed against 10Ks exposed neck. His hands immediately gripped his rifle tighter and his legs began to pivot.
“Nah – ah – ahhh.” A mans voice whispered against his ear, “not unless you want some mercy.”
10K sighed and let his rifle slip to the floor. It clattered against the bricks and echoed around the bar. The man huffed but didn’t say anything as the sound of footsteps heading down the hall grew louder. Warren, Doc and Addy filed inside; weapons raised.
“Hello all.” The man behind 10K said. His free hand slipped around the boy’s waist, holding him firmly in place.
“There is exactly 0% need for violence.” The man said, leaning his head out from behind 10K.
“Actually that percentage depends entirely on you.” Warren replied, taking another step forward.
“Let the kid go.” Doc commanded.
“The only way this goes well for you is if you release him.” Addy agreed, coming into step with Warren.
There were a tense few seconds. The sound of Zs beating on a barricaded door came from outside. The rest of the room was silent save for everyone’s shallow breaths.
“Got a name?” Warren asked, her pistol remaining steadily trained on the two.
“Jamie.” The man replied, shuffling his feet behind 10K, “and you are?”
“Warren. This is Doc. Addy. And you’ve got your piece against our boy, 10K there.” She motioned to everyone as they were introduced.
“Nice to meet you all. Is there a reason you’ve broken into my home?” Jamie asked, his tone was civil and calm. 10K wasn’t a good judge but he thought he sounded British. There was something about his accent that reminded him of old doctor who episodes.
“We’re just looking for shelter from the herd.” Warren explained, she took another step forward as she lowered her pistol, “we’ll be out of your way as soon as they move on.”
10K felt Jamie relax a little against him. The pressure at his waist lessening. After a moment, Doc and Addy followed suit and lowered their weapons. No one sheathed them, but they were down.
“Well.” Jamie swallowed thickly, “I don’t see any reason why we can’t have a cup of tea while we wait.” Slowly he slid his hand off 10K and gave him a small push towards his group.
Warren and the new man mirrored each other as they slotted their weapons back into holsters. The tension immediately dissipated.
10K turned to see the man that had held him captive. Man? Maybe boy was a better fit. He must have been barely older than 10K himself, wearing blue jeans and a jacket with metal rivets and plates sewn into the fabric. His hair was light brown, scruffy, and a 5 o’clock shadow curved over his cheeks.
Doc slapped 10K on the arm as he grabbed up his rifle and re-joined the group. The bar they were in was English themed. Banners hung over the walls and union jacks adorned the chairs. Jamie had cleared away most of the seats and tables but left a few in the centre as a kind of dining area.
“I’ve got earl grey and a lot of green.” He says, tossing the flap door up and sliding behind the bar. He pulled up a camp cooker with a small gas tank attached and began boiling some water.
“Can’t be a coincidence that the first Brit we meet is in a pub called the Queen’s Best?” Doc laughed, taking a seat and making himself comfortable.
“It was my sisters.” Jamie said, “she use to live above it.”
Warren and Addy pulled up a chair while 10K leaned against the wall, next to a ripped union jack flag. The place where Jamie had gripped him felt strange, and he ran his fingers over his waist. It almost tingled. He kept his eyes on the boy as he potted about, collecting cups and tea bags. 10K had to admit, he was kind of graceful.
“Sorry about before.” Jamie glanced over at 10K, giving him an apologetic smile. His stomach clenched in response.
“Don’t worry about it.” He mumbled back.
“Had any contact with the UK?” Warren asked taking her own seat along with Addy.
“None. I was just here on holiday to see my sister when day one happened. Pretty much been here ever since.” Jamie replied, pouring hot water into a collection of mugs. He tossed a handful of teabags onto an empty tray and loaded it up with steaming hot cups of water before bringing it over.
“Shoulda known this is where all the damn tea went.” Doc said, taking a green and dunking it into his mug.
“This was all just my sisters stash.” He chuckled, “I limit myself to one a day now. Barely enough to last the year. But what are the odds that I’m gonna last it either?”
“Amen brother.” Doc said, and held up his mug to clink.
Warren wrapped her fingers around the mug and breathed in the scent. Addy waved off the option of tea and crossed her legs, letting her Z-whacker come to rest gently against her knee. Jamie plopped a bag into a mug and turned to 10K.
“You look like an earl grey kinda guy.” He said and extended him the drink.
Now that he was closer 10K could see his bright green irises. His lashes were impossibly long and there were lines around his eyes that came together as he smiled. 10K realised he thought this boy was… pretty.
His lips turned up into a sweet smile as 10K hesitated to take the mug.
“I don’t bite.” He laughed, “unless you’re into that.”
Warren and Addy shared a smirk as 10Ks face lit up bright red. He snatched the mug and clutched it to his chest, savouring the warmth. Jamie sauntered back to the table and took his own seat.
“So where are you guys headed?” He asked, taking a sip of his own tea.
“Not sure.” Warren replied, “just heading.” She closed the subject with a long gulp.
“I only ask because I’m running out of supplies here and you’re the first people I’ve come across that didn’t try to fill me with holes. I’d happily share what I’ve got for some safety in numbers.”
Warren glanced at the rest of the group. Doc shrugged and sipped his tea. Addy sighed but didn’t reject the idea. 10K took pains to stand perfectly still, as his heart beat erratically against his chest. He wasn’t sure if he wanted this boy to come along. Logically, he shouldn’t have a problem with it. Besides the fact he could kill them in their sleep, but that’s the same risk they’d taken with him. Still, knots tightened in his stomach at the thought of going on the road with him and his graceful movements, his long eyelashes, his pretty mouth.
“I’m good in tight spaces.” Jamie continued to sell himself casually. His elbow was resting on the top back of the chair, his body relaxed into the worn wood.
“How about this? That herd isn’t going anywhere tonight, so we’ll hunker down here. Tomorrow, if they’re gone, you can come with us until you find someplace more suitable. A community. Another group. Whatever.”
Jamie beamed as he nodded. Tension that hadn’t been visible before was released from his body. 10K internally groaned. His cheeks were still burning and he wasn’t sure if it was from the boy or the steaming tea.
“Perfect. We can stay upstairs. My sister has – had a two bedroom. It’s cosy.” Jamie smiled, finishing off the mug.
He placed it back onto the tray and slapped both of his thighs before standing up. The rest of the group followed suit, Doc downed the drink but Warren and 10K held theirs to their chests.
“Please, follow me.” He said and lead the group to a well-concealed door in the back of the bar. He unlocked it and it swung open to reveal a narrow staircase. Jamie ushered them up and he locked the door behind them as they went.
Upstairs was just as the English boy had described it – cosy. A tiny kitchen overlooked a two seater couch, crammed next to a dining table which was piled with books. Half a dozen were open, most were survival guides and native plant information. A few were fantasy novels.
There were three doors, the left most leading to a staggeringly small bathroom with no working water, the middle to a master, and the right to a kid’s room with a bunk. The few windows overlooking the road were half covered by blinds, but the light was waning anyway.
“I’ve got some canned food and a few litres of water in the kitchen. There’s two single beds, a double and the couch.” Jamie gestured around the apartment before plopping down on the lounge.
10K weaved around the furniture to peer out the window at the horde making its way through the streets. There were a few clawing at the barricades to the pub downstairs but most were staggering onward.
“I wouldn’t worry.” Jamie appeared next to him, making him jump. He leaned in to see through the window, pressing his shoulder against 10Ks.
“I welded that door shut with some bars I found. The only way in is up the ladder you guys used.” He turned to smile encouragingly, their faces were barely a few inches apart.
For a moment 10K could smell Jamie’s sweet breath against his face. He drew in a deep breath before he could stop himself, savouring the taste of tea leaves. Jamie’s eyes leisurely rolled down 10Ks face, making no attempt to hide the long seconds he stared at his lips.
10K swallowed thickly as he felt his cheeks burn.
“Button mushrooms and pineapple for dinner, kids.” Doc clonked two cans down on the counter, making the boys jump apart.
Warren had surveyed the apartment and was quietly speaking to Addy in the corner.
“We’re going to leave someone on watch.” She said, making her way into the kitchen.
“I’d be happy to go first.” Jamie piped up, “you’re being generous taking me with you after all.”
“No offence, but I’d rather one of us took the shifts, not in the mood for a knife at my throat.” Warren was even-toned as she spoke, casually glancing over the cans that Doc had chosen.
“No offence taken.” Jamie replied, “I’ll stay up anyway, if you don’t mind.”
Warren nodded before assigning 10K the first watch duty. Next was hers, followed by Doc and then Addy if it came to that. 10Ks stomach twisted at the thought of being in relative privacy with Jamie but he kept his mouth shut. He wasn’t about to make a fuss when he wasn’t even sure why he was feeling one in the first place.
The group shared out the cans evenly as they sat staggered around the tiny apartment. Doc asked a few questions in good humour. If he’d met anyone else decent? If he’d been out to scavenge much? Jamie answered anything and everything thrown at him with a charming ease.
“So, what’s with your name?” He asked, motioning with his mostly empty can. 10K’s head jerked up and he glanced at the others, willing them to speak for him. When it was evident they were staying silent, he sighed.
“It’s how many zombie’s I’m gonna kill.”
“He’s a hell of a shot. Already up to 3489.” Doc beamed proudly.
“No way.” Jamie’s confident bravado slipped away for a moment, showing an enthusiastic young boy as he jumped up and skipped over to his table. He snatched up a small notebook and brought it back to the group. He sat closer to 10K than before, but no one seemed to notice except 10K himself.
“I count them as well.” He flipped open the pocketbook to a tally marked page.
“I’m barely into my 800s though.” A little pink dusted Jamie’s nose as he passed the book to 10K.
He skimmed through the pages and read small notes on the side of the page. Every so often a tally mark coincided with a little blurb of a significant kill or a small crude drawing of the event. 10K continued to flip back through the book until he reached the first page. 30 or so tally marks in was a mark that had been scratched harder than the rest. The gash penetrated the next few pages, as if someone had scored it over and over. 10K looked questioningly up at Jamie to see he was looking away. He closed the book and pushed it back into his hands, his fingers grazing Jamie’s knuckles.
“You’ll be up into the thousands soon when you come with us.” Doc again broke the trance 10K hadn’t noticed he was in.
The sun had gone down a while ago now, the drone of Zs below was quiet but consistent. Addy picked up the two empty cans and returned them to the kitchen.
“I’m gonna turn in.” She said, speaking mostly to Warren, “us girls take the double?”
“Sounds good. A real bed.” Warren nearly moaned the last word and Addy chuckled.
Doc squeezed 10Ks shoulder as he turned towards the kid’s room.
“I call top bunk!” He laughed and skipped into the room.
It didn’t take long for the rest of the group to gather their things and retire. 10K sat agonizingly still as they retreated, leaving Jamie and himself alone. Of course, the walls were thin and the doors thinner, so it wasn’t as if they had much privacy. But still, the empty room seemed full of a tension that hadn’t been so strong when the others had been there.
“Honestly, it’s pretty damn secure up here.” Jamie commented after a while. He tossed the book back onto the table and came to sit next to 10K on the lounge, “there’s a trip wire that will sound if they get through the door as well. Tin cans.”
10K shuffled back a bit from the heat he felt as their legs accidentally collided. He pressed himself awkwardly into the arm of the couch. Sensing his discomfort, Jamie shifted over slightly as well. In the corner of his eye, 10K thought he caught a twinge of pain cross over his face, but it was gone just as quickly as it had appeared.
“What was with that mark in your book?” He asked. Usually 10K was okay with silence. He wasn’t one to speak for the hell of it, or to fill a space. But with Jamie, the tightness in his chest was compounded when there was nothing to say.
“It was my sister.” He shrugged, but his hands wrung together in his lap. They twisted roughly over each other again and again. The English boy stared out across the room as his hands writhed.
10K glanced at his hands and longed to still them. His fingers twitched with need to calm the boy’s pain. He struggled with the feeling for a few moments before it became too much and his hand shot out to rest on Jamie’s. He stilled immediately.
“My dad was my first.” He said quietly, as his fingers began gently running over Jamie’s knuckles in small circles. It took the two a good full minute before they looked up at each other.
“It wasn’t her / him.” They both spoke at the same time, about their own loved ones. A small smile crept across 10Ks face as he looked at Jamie’s grin. The English boy slid is bottom hand out from the pile and placed it on top, sandwiching 10Ks fingers between his own.
Doc’s gentle snoring emanated from the room to their left and they both chuckled.
Somehow they’d come to slide closer together on the couch, but it still took 10K by surprise when Jamie leaned toward him, angling his head to touch their lips together. In a knee-jerk reaction 10Ks head lurched back before the kiss could happen.
Jamie’s eyes snapped open and he pushed away, pulling his hands away from 10Ks, as his face flooded with colour all the way to the tips of his ears.
“Bloody hell. I’m sorry. I thought you - ”
“It’s just I’ve never…” 10K started, he brought his hands up to his face and scrubbed at his eyes. What was happening? His heart ached in his chest when he looked at Jamie’s lips. His stomach was full of butterflies. His hands were curiously cold now that he wasn’t holding Jamie’s and it wasn’t a feeling he liked.
“You’ve never kissed a boy?” Jamie asked, head tilted a little.
10K slowly brought his own arm down and let his hand gingerly rest on Jamie’s knee. He couldn’t look him in the eye, but felt in his peripheral vision that he was smiling slightly.
“I’ve never kissed… anyone.” 10K admitted.
“Anyone?” Jamie replied, his slacken jaw evident in his tone.
“No.”
“Oh.”
Jamie touched his hand to 10Ks cheek and gently brought his head up to look in his eyes. 10K was trembling terribly, but his tongue darted out to wet his lips.
“Can I be your first kiss?” Jamie asked softly, his eyes glancing down and up 10Ks face.
His voice was stuck in his throat like he’d swallowed too much bread. He opened his mouth to speak but nothing came out so he nodded quickly. Jamie smiled. He shuffled closer on the lounge and his other hand came to rest on 10Ks shoulder.
Slowly he closed his eyes and leaned in. Their lips pressed together in a chaste kiss. 10Ks heart soared. Jamie let his tongue slide over his lips as he deepened the kiss a little. His fingers wrapped gently around 10ks shoulder and slid upwards to rest in the crook of his neck. He broke the kiss and pulled back as 10K let out a small gasp.
“You taste nice.” 10K whispered absently and then blushed a furious red colour. Jamie just chuckled softly.
“So do you.” He whispered back, and pressed his lips to 10Ks again.

Originally Mr.Stark wanted to fly you out to the tower since you only had a single bag of clothes, but when he saw you shaking he decided to call a car. He walked you down and out of the building and into a flashy car. The suit came off of him and went neatly into a carry on.
“That was cool” You told him pointing to the bag. He didn’t say anything and sat the whole trip silent.
“Soooo... where are we?”
“We are at the Avengers tower.” He said getting out of the car and I followed him.
“Why?”
“Because I’m recruiting you.”
“Why?”
“Because you’re smart beyond your years and we could use someone like you.”
“How did you...”
“Look kid I’m Tony Stark. I can find anything out about anyone or I have people that can. You’re just a high school student, it wasn’t that hard to see your character. Now if you’re done asking questions. You’re room is around the corner and here is a card so you can get whatever you need for your own lab or if you want new clothes or something.” Mr.Stark handed me a credit card.
“Is there something you want me specifically to work on or do I have free reign?” You asked holding the card and trying not to show how excited you are. You could hardly believe it was real.
“Just don’t blow up the building. Try to make useful stuff. Help whenever its needed. Other then that free reign. No illegal stuff tho. You’re still what 14?”
“16.”
“Anyways. Yea and also watch out for the rest of the Avengers. They don’t know about you yet.” Mr.Stark said walking away to another part of the tower. You walked into your room and dropped your stuff down.
The room was huge. “Hello Miss Y/l/n.My name is F.R.I.D.A.Y. Would you like a tour of the tower?”
“Sure, but first is there a lab already here or is there a room where I can set up and order stuff?” You asked taking out your notebook of inventions you have yet to try.
“Of course Miss Y/l/n. There is a room connected to this one that can be set up as a lab or you can work with Mr.Stark and Mr. Banner in the big lab.”
“I’ll set my lab up in the other room. I don’t wanna bother them. Can I have that tour now F.R.I.D.A.Y? You also don’t have to call me ‘Miss Y/l/n. Y/n is okay.”
“Ok Y/n if you follow the arrows to outside the room you will find the kitchen.” Blue arrows lit up on the ground and you followed them to the kitchen. You saw a red and blue suit with curly brown hair in the kitchen. The first Avenger you were going to meet was going to be Spiderman. No one except the Avengers knew who he was.
“Hi.” He jumped and turned around revealing a familar face. “PETER???!!!”
“What are you doing here?” He asked you.
“Me? I’m offended you didn’t tell me! Come on you know me better than anyone. I would not have blown this kind of secret like Ned would.”
“Um....Ned already knows...” You slapped his arm.
“I’m even more offended now.” You joked with him.
“Oww I’m sorry. Now what are you doing here?” He asked.
“I got recruited. Well.... Iron-man destroyed a wall at my old apartment after Jake had shoved me into my experiments and spilled acid onto my arm.”
“WHAT?? Are you ok? Do we need to get you to the medical bay? WHere are you hurt???” He asked looking frantically for any injury.
“Peter.. Peter Im fine I took one of my tablets. My stuff is in my new room. I still can’t believe I’m here. Like this is the Avenger tower. This is where I’m suppose to live now. I don’t think I have to pay rent. Its amazing.” You’re face hurt from how big you were smiling. You no longer had to worry about Jake.
“You’re still gonna go to highschool right?”
“Duh. I have to keep an extra eye out for you now. Can’t let any bad guy hurt my Peter” You said ruffling his hair.
“Staaawwwpp I’m sweaty.”
“Like I care?”
“PETER GET BACK HERE WE STILL HAVE TRAINING!” Captain America yelled walking into the room
“Hey I gotta go, but I’ll catch up with you later yea?”
“Who is that?” He asked.
“Hey I’m Y/n Tony recruited me for science stuff.”
“Is he having you train in fighting too?”
“I don’t know. He didn’t really say much.”
“Might as well join us because you’re probably going to have to learn to fight if you’re part of the team now. You can just watch for right now. I’m Steve by the way.” You followed them into a training room and sat on the floor leaning against the wall.
“You ready for this kid? I’m not gonna go easy on you this time. Steve said putting his helmet on.
“Bring it.”
Sad to say Peter started to get his ass handed to him, but as you watched you realized that Steve never protected his legs. Well he never protected them because Peter never went for them.
“I thought you said bring it kid?” Steve said laughing.
“Ha ha..” Peter said sarcastically.
“Wait time out Steve.” You told him before Peter got his ass handed to him.
“There are no time outs in a fight.” Steve said and you walked over to Peter who was now standing confused.
“Go for his legs.” You whispered to Peter.
“What?”
“Just do it. Fake him out then take him out with his legs.” Steve looked at you suspiciously as you whispered to Peter. Peter nodded and you went back to your spot on the floor.
The fight continued and Peter did as you said knocking Steve on his ass.
“You want me to ease up a bit Cap?” Peter asked laughing.
“I don’t know what she told you, but I know she helped somehow.”
“I’m an innocent bystander I don’t know what you mean.” You told him smiling.
“What did you tell him?”
“I just told him the one spot you never seemed to guard. If its any consolation Peter never guards his face so you could probably get a few head shots in.”
“Y/N!”
“WhAT? You need to learn your weaknesses.” You told him.
“Don’t you have some sciencey shit to do?” He asked you
“What you don’t want me around anymore?” you fake pouted.
“You still haven’t even met the rest of the team. I also don’t need you to see my ass get kicked anymore by Steve.” Peter told you.
“Steve don’t hurt him too bad. We still have school tomorrow.”
You wandered around the rest of the house and ran into someone. “Oh my gosh I’m so sorry I wasn’t looking where I was going.” You bent down and started to pick up the books and papers that you had knocked out of their hands.
“You must be y/n. Tony said I might run into you. I’m Bruce otherwise known as the Hulk.”
“Yea he kinda just took me in a few hours ago. Quantum physics?” The book you held in your hand was very colorful and heavy.
“We’re working on new weapons for everyone. Tony also told me about your wonder tablet. How exactly does it work?”
You followed Bruce to his lab he shared with Tony and explained how your tablet worked. In short terms it sped up the metabolism to heal wounds. Bruce leaned against one of the work tables and took a sip from his mug.
“I don’t know where Tony is at. We were suppose to finish the project today.”
“Well what does he normally do?”
“He is normally in here or going out to eat.... what time is it? Yea he hasn’t eaten in awhile he probably went somewhere for food.”
“Soo do you know if there is food in the house or do we have to go to a fast food place?”
“We usually have fast food delivered. Now that you mention it I don’t know if we actually have food in the house other than eggs.” Bruce told you.
“Wellllll I want mac and cheese for dinner soooo Imma go to the store. You should come with so we can get actual food in the house instead of take out.”
After about a week you had met everyone on the team and bonded with everyone well. You were also trained for months and worked with Bruce in the lab, but Tony kept his distance. You had gotten used to it thinking he didn’t want to have to deal with another kid since he already had Peter. You didn’t expect much from him, but he still took you in and for that you cared about what he thought. Tonight wasn’t suppose to be any different then every other day, but you decided you would make one last attempt to make nice with him and since everyone else was out doing stuff you were able to go and talk with him. His door was open when you walked around to go find him.
“Tony?” You asked him and he just let out a strangled noise and falling to the ground and crawled away from you. His harsh breathing rang though your ears. He was having a panic attack. Cautiously you walked towards him then sat on the ground in front of him.
“You’re safe you know. What ever you just saw or heard, its not what you thought it was or its not happening now if it was a memory.” You told him, but he didn’t look me in the face.
You took out your phone and put it on your breathing app then handed it to him, he surprisingly took it. His breathing slowed down into an even pace. You left to grab some tea and came back with two mugs.
“Here drink. It’ll calm your nerves.”
“Thank you.” He said taking it with a shaky hand.
“Do you wanna watch a movie or cartoons or go to bed?” You asked and he looked at you skeptically.
“Why are you here? Why aren’t you in bed? Why?” He asked snapping at you.
“Why not?” I asked him.
“No seriously kid why are you here? Why aren’t you with Pepper or something?”
“Can’t you just accept my kindness? You gave me a home.”
“Is that why you’re doing this?”
“No. I know how much a panic attack sucks and how after every one I wished I had someone there to make me not feel so alone.”
“I didn’t have a panic attack.”
“Tony you are shaking for fucks sake. Just stop. Everyone else around here including you acts like your ok. You’re a human being you’re allowed to feel scared, get mad and cry. You had a panic attack. Now do you wanna watch a movie or something or sleep it off?” Tony stared at you dumbfounded.
“....It was Peter...” he said softly.
“What about Peter?” your voice softened.
“He had died before I got to him. I couldn’t go fast enough I couldn’t get to him quick enough...”
“Why don’t you call him?”
“And tell him I had a dream about him dying?”
“No just talk to him. Just so you know he’s ok.”
“If I call him then he’ll know something is wrong.” You rolled your eyes and called Peter on your phone.
“Y/n? What are you doing up so early? Is something wrong?” Peter asked as you put him on speaker. Tony watched the phone as you held it in front of you
“No nothing is wrong I’m sorry for waking you I just wanted to talk to you and see how your day went today since I didn’t go to school today.”
“Nothing much. Flash was asking around for you though. Honestly Y/n you should stop trying to pick a fight with him. He might deck you one of these days.” Peter said.
“Peter no one else is standing up to him.I’m not scared of his fake ass tough guy show.”
Tony looked like he wanted to say something, but closed his mouth. Peter sighed. “Other than that all you missed was Ned laughing to hard he had milk come out his nose because of a joke I told him.”
“What did you say?”
“He had guacamole from cooking class and I told him that his one guacamole was equal to 6.022x10^23 guacas.” Peter gave out a small laugh and you tried to not smile, but couldn’t help it because he was so bad it was good. Tony was smiling too
“Geez Parker is that the best you could do?” You asked
“ Whatever hater I know your smiling on the other side of the phone.” Peter said.
“Ok well I’ll let you get some sleep and I’ll see you at school tomorrow ok?”
“Yea. You should probably get some sleep too.”
“What are you talking about I can totally sleep in class.”
“Sure. Good night Y/n.” You heard him yawn.
“G’night sleepy head.” You told him and hung up.
Tony had finished the rest of his tea.
“Maybe you should get some sleep kid.” Tony said.
“Nah. I’m going to the main room to watch cartoons.” You told him and walked out.
A few minutes later he came and sat in the opposite recliner.
“Tom and Jerry?”
“It was the first cartoon I could find that was on and wasn’t trash.”
“Alright.”
It was about half an hour before we talked again.
“Do you have panic attacks often?” He asked you catching you off guard.
“Sometimes yea. Just depends on the day I’ve had. I don’t know what Peter’s told you, but from what he knows my parents are dead....”
“But they’re aren’t” He said and you nodded. He had looked them up.
“They might as well be. ‘We’ll be back in a few days.’ A postcard shows up about a week later they moved to a different country. I sold most of the stuff they left behind for rent money. I filed for emancipation and the government gave me some money for help and helped me get a job.” You told him watching the tv. He didn’t say anything else and about an hour later you fell asleep.
After that encounter Tony wasn’t as distant as he used to be and actually talked with you and you guys joked around while messing with the stuff in the lab. One night while you guys were working on improving your tablet Steve came barging in.
“There is a situation a few miles from here. Person has been noted as armed and dangerous.”
“Are you up for a mission kid?” Tony asked you
“HELL YEA!”
“Tony she’s just a kid.” Steve said butting in
“Steve have you seen her? We need her out in the field. Even with her age.” Nat told him walking in behind him.
“I got a suit for you kid.”
“You’ve already put thought into her going on a mission with us?” Steve asked.
“She is part of the team Steve. Check it out kid.” A futuristic suit appeared in purple and black. It wasn’t metal like his, but like Spiderman’s suit which was a spandex like material.
“Awesome.”
“Go try it on.”
You came back with the suit on and it felt awesome.
“Lookin good Y/n” Nat said
“It has all of the weapons you created in it plus other things that we will review in the jet.” We started walking to the top of the tower and met up with everyone else.
“Y/n?” Peter asked looking at the suit.
“In the flesh.”
“Wow ummm are you going on the mission with us?”
“Yep lets go!” You said excitedly getting on the jet.
“I still don’t think she’s ready.” Steve mumbled.
“Steve come on she’s pretty kick ass” Peter said making you blush and Tony started to go over what was in your suit.
“Ok everyone ready to drop?” Steve asked.
“What?” You asked and soon everyone was jumping out of the jet. A pair of arms wrapped around you and felt the ground disappear from under you. Peter had grabbed you and he swung from building to building until you guys were finally on the ground.
“Thanks for that.” You told him
“No problem.”
“The news said there was an explosion in this building over here.” Steve said pointing to the worn down and closed building that was falling apart.
“Split up and stay on the radios.”
We split up and you headed to the basement of the building. The thermal vision in the mask showed that there was someone in the room. Slowly you walked up and they turned around.
“Who are you?”
“The name is Jenny.” She said turning around.
“Not much of a super villain name.”
“Because I’m not a super villain. I’m just smart I use to be a scientist at Stark’s company. I was hoping the Avengers would show up. I wanted to tell you guys that I see what’s wrong with the world.”
“Poverty, racism, and the government?”
“The male species.”
“I don’t think you can blame a whole gender for the issues of the world.” You said leaning against the wall.
“You’re female are you not a feminist? How do you not see that the oppressors are the male species?”
“First of all yes I am a feminist and your definition of feminist is actually misandry.” You told her.
“Doesn’t matter its most of them anyway. This serum is going to have them destroy each other. My first test subjects are your friends. All of your other male friends have tripped the wires and been shot. He’s the only one who I haven’t hit yet.” She aimed her gun behind me,I turned seeing Peter was behind me, and fired hitting him right in the shoulder.
“WHAT THE FUCCK LADY???” You shouted at her and went over to see if Peter was ok.
“Peter?” You bent over him only to be socked in the stomach. “Ahhh the hell? Its me???” You held your stomach. He flipped back onto his feet and started swinging.
“Uh oh.”
“You screwed up big time Jenny!” I yelled as I started to dodge Peter by running through the building.
“Peter come on dude its me.” You yelled as you avoided getting webbed going into a bigger room where you saw the Hulk and Steve fighting Wanda and Natasha. Steve saw you and threw his shield at you just missing by a few inches.
Peter had the Hulk throw him and ended up slamming into you and knocking you over. He ended up on top and you kept your arms up to protect your face. When he wouldn’t let up on the punches you socked him in the mouth and got up.
“Peter.... please.” You said backing up. Natasha and Wanda were in your peripheral view fighting off Steve and Bruce. Who knew where the rest of the team was.
“Instant kill mode Karen.” The suits eye’s glowed red. Well shit. You ducked behind a pillar of the run down building.
“Peter this isn’t you. You can snap out of it anytime now.” Slowly you started crawling over the rubble going deeper into the building.
“You can’t hide Y/n.”
“Guys have you had any luck trying to get them back to normal?” you whispered over the radio.
“No not yet. Bruce is putting up a good fight though.” Nat said.
It got eerily quiet. You looked around and there was no sign of him. All of a sudden you were lifted out of the rubble by your neck and thrown. Your body slammed into the wall and was held there by webs as Peter walked over to you.
“ You wouldn’t kill me Peter. I have a hard time believing you would kill one of your best friends who you have Star Wars marathons with, brings you cookies when you have a bad day at school, and who you take frequent naps with?”
“Shut up.”
“ Alright fine. Do it Peter. Come on kill me. Since you have no issue with killing someone who loves you come on and kill me.” You told him and he swung his fist and it impacted next to your head sending your heart pounding.
“Oh my God.”
“I swear to fuck Peter don’t scare me like that.” He chuckled and undid the webs around you. “When did you...”
“Like midway through that punch. I could’ve killed you.”
“Thank God you didn’t.” You told him with your heart still racing and you wrapped your arms around him.
“Y-you love m-me?” He stuttered out and it sent a smile to your face.
“You didn’t know?”
“Guys this isn’t the time to proclaim your love for one another. We have bigger issues on our hands.” Nat said as we heard a thump on one of the other walls.
“Talk about it later?”
“Y-yea.” You knew Peter was blushing hella hard under his mask, but so were you.
You found Tony on the roof with Jenny fighting.
“Looks like your plan backfired on you.” You told her as he dragged her across the roof, but he stopped when he heard your voice.
“You.” He dropped her and started advancing towards you.
“Tony...” You warned him.
“You took Peter away from me.” He swung at you.
“Peter is downstairs fine.” You moved out of the way.
“You had to come and ruin our lives” There was a blast that missed.
“Your parents deserted you because you were unlovable. You weren’t good enough.” He landed a punch into your side.
“We didn’t even want you.” His foot landed in my ribs as you tried to get up.
“ I should’ve left you where I found you.” He hit you again and sunk deeper into the roof. Everything hurt. He started to walk away.
Tears streamed down your cheeks as you held your side in pain. Words came out of your mouth that you never expected to say.
“Dad please stop.”
“I’m not your dad. You were only a new recruit kid. You weren’t that important.” Tony said coming back to stand over you.
“Stupid me then I guess.”
